Gary began real estate in Red Bluff Ca. in 1991 as a salesperson, obtained a brokers license and purchased Lake Realty in Clearlake Ca. in 1994. He became immediately involved in the activities of Lake County, feeling his success would be directly tied to the success of Lake County.

In the following 16 years Gary was a member of the original Committee to Restore Clearlake, Clearlake Chamber of Commerce, (as a director for 5 terms and president for 1 term) member of advisory committee to Clearlake City Council, 3 years on the Lake County Clear Lake Subcommittee, and 11 years as a Planning Commissioner for the County of Lake.

Gary's affiliation with United Country is like old home week, Briggs, born and raised in southwestern Colorado, is very familiar with the United Country name. In the rural and agriculture communities in that area of the United States it was nearly a household name. In addition to his wife and family, Gary's other passion is Bass fishing for fun and competition, and feels genuinely blessed to end up with an office directly across the street form the number two ESPN rated Bass lakes in the United States.
